# CHARACTER INTERVIEWS

Character Interview: Edge of Death's Hades #edgeofdeath @parkerjoni #characterinterview

We are really excited to have Hades, god of the Underworld, here with us today at Blogging Authors! Hades comes from the inside pages of Joni Parker's new book, EDGE OF DEATH: BOOK TO OF THE ADMIRALTY ARCHIVES. Take it away, Hades!

Please introduce yourself. What is your name?

My name is Hades and I’m the god of the Underworld. A pleasure to meet you

How would you describe your appearance?

Tall, dark and handsome. I’m six-feet tall with wavy black hair that women like to run their fingers through and deep brown eyes to look into yours.

Where are you today and what are you doing?

Today? Hmmm, I’m in Paris, waiting. I’ve put a lot of plans into motion but they haven’t come to fruition yet. I’ve arranged for that Titan girl to die! What was her name? Alex something or other. The Rock Elves are still searching for her, but those two wizards are clueless. I never should have resurrected them. I have hope for the 23rd Infantry, a white supremacist group, so I’ve changed into my mortal disguise to steer them in the right direction.

How would you react if you came face-to-face with your worse enemy?

With anger and hatred, bitterness and scorn. That Titan girl, Alex whatever her name is, is my worst enemy! Just the other day, I told my brother Zeus that he was a fool for letting her live. The only good Titan is a dead one.

How would your parents describe you?

That’s hard to say. I haven’t talked to my parents in centuries. You could say we are estranged. Shortly after I was born, my father, Cronus, ate me—whole. Can you believe that? He also ate my brother, Poseidon and my two sisters. All because of a prophecy that said one of his children would overthrow him. My mother, Rhea, did nothing to protect us from him, until my brother, Zeus, was born. Eventually, Zeus freed us from my father’s belly, but it took years. What a nightmare!

Who is your best friend?

Ah. My best friend…is Charon. He’s my mortal friend and does whatever I tell him to do.

Are you faith-oriented?

Yes, of course. All mankind should bow to the Dieties of ancient Greece as they once did. They’ve lost their way and I can help them find it once more. But in order to do that, I have to build my brand on social media. I’m already on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook and gained a massive following. Next year, I’ll be releasing a new network to rival the Internet with gaming sites and podcasts. Look for that.

Are you married or in a relationship?

Oh, yes. I’m married to Persephone. Have been for centuries.

Do you have children?

Yes, in spite of rumors to the contrary, Persephone and I have three children—Melinoe, Macaria, and Zagreus. There are some who claim that Zeus was the father but I dispute that notion. Persephone would never betray me with my younger brother.

book blurb

In this second installment of The Admiralty Archives, the warrior Lady Alexin, the Keeper of the Keys for the Elf realm of Eledon, finds herself exiled to the harsh world of near-future London. Rendered little more than a political pawn by the Elfin Council of Elders to avoid a war with the Rock Elves, she has little choice but to struggle to find her way in this strange new land. Taken under the protection of kindly mentors, Vice Admiral Malcolm Teller of the British Royal Navy and his wife, Alex brings all her skills to the fore as she uncovers a series of deadly plots.

Murder is on everyone’s mind as an underground White Supremacist organization takes aim at Admiral Teller while two wizards, resurrected from death, must kill Alex in order to survive. To make matters worse, the Rock Elves dispatch a hundred assassins from Eledon with their sole mission to bring Lady Alexin to the very… Edge of Death.
