My uncle Kevin is obsessed with poker. One day, he called me
up, as both talk about gambling and poker quite frequently, and he said he had
a great idea for book. Being he isn’t a writer, he wanted me to have the idea.
What would you do if you had a ghost telling you what all the other player’s
cards are. I was floored, and I piped the title Poker…geist. He began cracking
up and I knew this was my next story. I
began write the story arc of Clutch and Telly that night. Days later I had the entire story beat
out. Three weeks later I had one of the
best scripts ever written. Four weeks after that Pokergeist the novel was born.
