What is your name?

Adysson Townsend

What do you look like?

I am five feet seven, weigh a hundred and twenty pounds with short brown highlighted hair and aquamarine eyes.

Where are you today and what are you doing?

I am tending my ice cream parlor and my daughter, Malila who is a siren like me.

You come face to face with your worse enemy. How do you react?

I am cool and collected unless they make a move in my family’s direction. Then I will tear them apart.

How would your parents describe you?

Sensitive, organized, and a hellion.

Who is your best friend?

My husband, Benjamin Yeates. He is my everything.

Are you faith-oriented?

I believe in God and the Universe

Are you married or in a relationship?

I have been married to Ben for close to a year.

Do you have children?

Yes I do a daughter named Malila..

What is your name?

Pierce Evangelista

What do you look like?

I am 6 ft 2 and weigh 210 lbs. I have an athletic physique, dark black hair, blue eyes, chiseled features and an imposing presence.

Where are you today and what are you doing?

I live in Miami, Florida where I practice law and advise Fortune 100 companies, global financial institutions and other companies and individuals through “bet the company” litigations, regulatory matters, internal investigations, and corporate crises.

I have often been described as one of the most connected lawyers in the country.

You come face to face with your worse enemy. How do you react?

Depends on the situation. All complex negotiations, political maneuvering and courtroom battles are warfare. All warfare is based on deception. Therefore, much like the Art of War by Sun Tzu, I engage when it’s to my advantage and evade when it isn’t.

How would your parents describe you?

My parents would describe me as intelligent, confident, and relaxed, really likeable, and most importantly, memorable.

Who is your best friend?

I have two best friends Shane, who was two years ahead of me at Harvard and my mentor at my first law firm, Mo.

Are you faith-oriented?

Yes, I am the product of a Scottish and Spanish mother and an Italian father. I’m Catholic.

Are you married or in a relationship?

I’m divorced.

Do you have children?

I don’t have any children.

Luis Figueredo was born and raised in the Bronx, New York. He completed his undergraduate degree in History from Brandeis University in Massachusetts and earned his law degree from Harvard Law School. He is currently the City Attorney for the City of Doral.

What is your name?

I’ve been called a lot of things over the past few years—most of them not too friendly—but most people call me Everly.

What do you look like?

Really? That’s your second question? I think the feminist in me should take offense. I have dark hair and my mom’s blue-green eyes and a whole bunch of freckles on my nose.

Where are you today and what are you doing?

I’m in Seattle, fighting my arch-nemesis Peter for the latest gig. We’re bike messengers—well, I am. Peter is just here to annoy and embarrass me every chance he gets. And preen on his expensive bike.

You come face to face with your worse enemy. How do you react?

Most days, I act like my worst enemy is Peter—he makes my life a living hell, after all—but I’m far more worried about the monsters kidnapping people all over the city. I come face-to-face with them every day, but I’m human and they’re not. If they knew I could see them, I’d probably be the next missing person on the streets. I’ll just mind my own business, thank you very much.

How would your parents describe you?

Considering my dad left when I was eight, I don’t think he has much say in the matter. And my mom didn’t care to even look at me after he left, let alone describe me to anyone else. I live my life on my own terms. I don’t need anyone to describe me!

Who is your best friend?

Mary Beth is my best friend… if you can call her that. She saved my life once, but now she’s more interested in the money I can give her for drugs than deep conversation. I owe her my life, though, and I’m determined to save enough money to get her the help she needs.

Are you faith-oriented?

Where was God when my dad left? Where was my heavenly help when my mom overdosed and left me alone at thirteen years old? The only one I can rely on is myself.

Are you married or in a relationship?

I don’t have time for that crap. But there is this annoyingly quiet dude who can change into a wolf…

Do you have children?

Ha! I’m never having kids. I won’t make the same mistake my parents did.

What is your name?

Lady Serena Thurston

What do you look like?

Dark brown hair and blue eyes. I’m petite but fierce.

Where are you today and what are you doing?

I’ve joined The Company’s demon hunter school, and I’m training to rid this world of demons, but my fiancé has shown up after a long absence, and he’s not happy about my choice to become a hunter. He’s going to have to accept that I’m not the silly girl he left behind to lick my wounds.

You come face to face with your worse enemy. How do you react?

If it’s a demon, I eviscerate it. If it’s a man, I kick him where it counts.

How would your parents describe you?

My mother would say she is disappointed that I have strayed from the course of a nice girl in society. However, her opinions no longer matters. The demons are real and they must be stopped or there will be no society to worry over.

Who is your best friend?

Jane and I have become quite close while we trained together.

Are you faith-oriented?

I am oriented toward doing right.

Are you married or in a relationship?

I was engaged to Thaddeus, but I don’t think that will work out. He should have stayed in London until I was well rather than running off to Scotland. He never answered my letters, and when he found out I had joined the demon hunters, it took him six weeks to bother to come here. Now he demands I give all of this up, and I won’t do it. I suppose we’ll become estranged now. Pity, because he’s still quite beautiful to look at and my stomach fills with butterflies whenever he’s nearby.

Do you have children?

Not yet, but I hope too someday. Perhaps when these demons have been sent back to Hell and the world is safe again.

Ascension (The Demon Hunters, #1) by A.S. Fenichel
This book is a wonderful start to a new series. This is Lord Gabriel Thurston and Lady Belinda Carlisle’s story. He is just home from war and finds his fiancée much changed. He soon finds out she is a demon hunter and joins her in the hunt. There are so many feeling in this book, horror, angst, viscous demons, brave demon hunters (who I hope will have their own stories in upcoming books), laughs, tears, fears, deceptions, discoveries, losses, victories, love, devotion and plenty of steam to get us to this books HEA. This can be read as a standalone but it is still an ongoing story and I can’t wait to find out what happens next.
